What changed

• A drag handle beside the "+" carries the deck: drag it to slide the deck along its edge, or pull it out to pick the deck up and drop it on the left, right or bottom of the screen
• Settings › General › Display: choose which display the deck appears on, or all of them
• Settings › Keyboard: configurable hotkeys. New: ⌥⌘E changes the deck's position, ⌃⌥⌘H hides the deck and notes, ⌘, opens Settings from a note and ⌘W closes All Notes and the Archive. ⌥⌘L is now All Notes and ⌥⌘A the Archive
• Reduced the activation area for the sticky notes deck
• Added an activation-delay setting: a slider from 0 to 1 s (default 50 ms)
• Fixed a bug where an unpinned note closed when it lost focus
• Settings can be resized, and the app shows up in ⌘-Tab

• The deck can dock to the bottom of the screen: the notes lie along it as a row of tabs, each carrying its name, and a tab rises when you point at it (Settings › General › Screen side)
• "Show over full-screen apps" now does something when it is switched off. The deck and your pinned notes used to sit on top of a full-screen app whichever way the switch was thrown; with it off they stay on your desktops and leave full screen alone
• On a left-docked deck the start of every line is no longer clipped, and a tab carries its whole name instead of the first word
• A note's text no longer flashes on a moment after the card has come to rest
• A note's close dot and its neighbour are drawn at the size a real title bar uses, and the ring around the colour you have chosen is tucked in close instead of standing proud of the row

Requires macOS 13 or later.

• Links in notes: an address you type or paste now reads as one, and a click opens it. Hold any key while clicking to put the caret inside it instead
• The deck's dots sit at the exact middle of the screen edge, and the notes come out level with them — a single note no longer appears up at the top
• Smaller text: notes can now be set to 14, 12 or 10 pt as well as the larger sizes (Settings › General › Text size)
• A new typeface, Inconsolata — the open face drawn after Consolas (Settings › General › Handwriting)

• Checklists in notes: type [] to start one, or press the button beside the colours. Enter makes the next item, and Enter on an empty one ends the list. Click a box to tick it, and the deck's card previews show the boxes too
• Keep the deck open: the notes stand at the edge all the time instead of resting as the dots (Settings › General)
• Cards can open on a click instead of on hover, if you would rather the deck only fanned out when you point at it (Settings › General › Fan notes)
• ⌘W closes the note you are in
• A grip beside the pin drags a note around the screen, and a note can no longer be resized so narrow that its buttons are cut off
• The hard-edged shadow that appeared around the deck after a menu or a note window had covered it is gone
• Settings opens on General, and the deck's own menus can reach it; both font pickers now show each face in its own handwriting

• Pasting into a note works again — ⌘V had been silently doing nothing
• Your licence now lives in Settings, with its own section: subscription status, a key field to activate a subscription you already have, and a way to release the seat when you stop using a Mac
• A green tick on the licence card tells you at a glance that this Mac is activated
• The menu bar's subscription item opens Settings instead of a separate window

• Marking a note complete now archives it — there is no separate "done" state, and the filters are simply All, Active and Archived
• Delete notes straight from All Notes, with ten seconds to undo
• The note preview is a fixed-height card showing when it was created and last updated
• Your subscription status is back in the menu bar
• Buttons respond across their whole surface, with hover and press feedback
• Tighter window headers in All Notes and the Archive
